Assignment THREE.

For assignment three we are to (again) take photos based on the following categories--close up, perspective, zoom, high/low key, spot/centre-weighted/martix metering, symbol of the sun.

High/Low Key.

1/99 sec, 26mm, f/12.9 ISO-800.

Comment: Not high enough. Hee.

1/99 sec, 26mm, f/12.9, ISO-400.

Comment: Not low enough. Haha.

Will be re-taking the photos for high/low key. :)

Close-up.

1/256 sec, 85mm, f/5.6, ISO-1600.

Strangely, almost every group took close up photos of cats. I shall try to take close up photos of people instead.

Zoom.

1/3 sec, 17mm, f/22, ISO-100.

This was taken as a group, at Haji Lane. I think it'll be better if there was an object at the centre of the zoom. But in this photo at least the centre of the zoom is on the end of the lane, which gives a certain meaning.

Perspective.

1/32 sec, 46mm, f/2.8, ISO-100.

My initial take on "perspective" is any interesting angle taken on any subject. So to me this photo takes on a really interesting perspective, one through the newspaper tubing.

1/197 sec, 47mm, f/5.6, ISO-1600.

Again I feel that this photo offers another interesting perspective. As one group mention--the overlay perspective--where one subject layers over another subject.

1/166 sec, 17mm, f/8, ISO-800.

What I'd call the "reflected perspective." Interestingly, this perspective also offers the long perspective, where building converge and become smaller as they are further away.

1/256 sec, 17mm, f/4, ISO-100.

This also shows the long perspective, in an alternative way. The conventional way, as I supposed, would be of horizontal rows of buildings, whereas in this photo, it makes use of tall vertical buildings.

1/64 sec, 55mm, f/22.6, ISO-800.

A rather conventional long perspective photo I suppose. I'm glad I managed to capture the running children on the left. Adds a bit of story to the photograph.

1/64 sec, 17mm, f/8, ISO-100.

Got one of my project mates (Weiliang) to model. Woot. Anyway, this photo offers the conventional long persoective with a twist to it. The foreground--Weiliang--is juxtaposed against the long stretch of shophouses, giving the photo a sense of layering and unusual depth.

Will be taking more photos on this asisgnment. :)
That's all for now. Pls leave your comments!
